This context refers to the wall segment known as W05, the trace in the northeast corner of the operation. This wall may be a continuation of W01, the north-west terrace wall; however, there is a gap between them. In contrast to W01, this wall is situated not only against but directly atop bedrock. It is a maximum, of three courses high. It does appear to continue southward; it continues into the baulk. This wall was uncovered in locus 16 (the 2x2m expansion).
