Remarks

This context refers to the area south of locus 6 and east of locus 8. Situated under the wash layer of locus 2, it is west of locus 5 (bedrock), it is characterized by a high concentration of pottery and obsidian, fairly well-sorted medium brown matrix. In this locus we have uncovered a number of stones (10-40 cm). It is unclear if these stones are floating or intentionally organized in a north-south orientation. In the eastern part of this locus the stones are very clearly organized and consist of two courses. Given the orientation, this may be a continuation of locus 4 (the terrace wall), however, it does seem odd given that this conglomeration of stones is sitting directly on top of bedrock. It also seems odd that there is a gap or physical space between the wall and this linear feature.
