This locus refers to the greyish-brown matrix situated north of locus 6 (the east-west wall) and west of locus 7. It is characterized by a medium density of cultural materials. The sediment is poorly sorted and contains angular clasts, small stones (5-10cm). It seems to be a wash layer that is sitting directly on top of bedrock.
