This context refers to the probe in the southwest corner of the unit. We placed this probe in order to assess if locus 6 (the e-w wall) continued. This prospecting helped us to evaluate if we should extend the operation westward. We uncovered three additional stones in the wall, which were at a considerably lower depth than those in the east. Following this investigation we expanded the operation a meter west and will likely expand again. We are hoping now to find a SW cornerstone! If this is in fact a room the interior is quite large. In this context we uncovered minimal cultural materials. It is clear that locus 6 is built right up against bedrock since south of the stones we uncovered bedrock.
