The feature refers to the circular pit about 50cm west of locus 39 (another circular pit adjacent to W01). This pit contained no cultural material; it was sterile. It was not lined, but like the others cut directly into bedrock. Given our findings in the adjacent pits it seems incredibly likely that this, too, was an LBA construction. The function of which remains unknown. This context is associated with locus 38, the fill.
