This fragment appears to be part of a portable EB hearth. While it is possible that it was part of an andiron the curvature and dimple-like protrusion from the body suggests (according to Ruben) otherwise. It is incredibly well fired. While the body or surface of the fragment is predominately reddish brown. In the profile of the break there is some dark reddish gray coloring. The surface of the object is incredibly smooth. This object appears to be broken on three sides.
