Place: Ar/An.05b.07

This locus is just beneath the floor of locus 6 and is the same packed clay matrix with an abundance of charcoal bits across the entire locus. The western half of the locus consists of an array of rocks, and the space is too small to assess whether or not they can be removed. The locus bottomed out on bedrock in the area that could be excavated. A burnt beam was discovered in the center of the locus, and while most of it was collected, it could not be extracted intact, and it appears to extend under the 'jumble' of rocks. It would require significantly expanding the trench to remove the rest of it. Something for the future...
